This is good news to dentists who are in the government service!
We take pleasure to announce that after a long wait and persistent follow-up with the Office of DBM Secretary Florencio B. Abad through the Office of Director Myrna Chua and Officer-in-Charge, Mr. Edgardo M. Macaranas from the Organization, Position Classification and Compensation Bureau all our concerted and compounded efforts had finally been rewarded for the benefit of our government dentists.
In line with the updates of the Professional Regulation Commission Board of Dentistry on Philippine Dentistry, they have updated and released the Guidelines in Practice Management for Dental Practitioners, Dental Inspection Form and the Mutual Recognition Arrangements for Dentistry.
Please be guided accordingly on these developments on our dental practice to promote global competitiveness.
For your information and guidance.
Dr. Roberto M Tajonera
President
The recent series of incidents involving some member- dentists of the Philippine Dental Association (PDA) who were robbed, molested, raped or even killed by heartless criminal elements are quite alarming. The hierarchy of the PDA strongly condemns this barbaric and ruthless act of violence against our members.
We are coordinating with the police and other law enforcement agencies in the pursuit of the early resolution of these cases. We call on all our members to remain vigilant and to secure your respective clinics for your own security and safety. In line with this, we will be sending a memorandum circular to all chapters and affiliates nationwide with regard to the safety measures that they may undertake to prevent occurrence of these incident in the future.
